Day 1
Started with a not so quintessential groom welcome. This tradition of egging finds it's root somewhere in Persia. Crates of eggs were passed amid giggles and anticipation. As soon as the groom and his cohort entered, a crack, a thud on the head but no yolk. It was glitter instead. The stage was then a throw of hands finding the next available person to shower them with glitter. The evening progressed to more upbeat rhythm with both families joined in song and dance.
Day 2
Nikah
Two souls now bound, a sacred decree,
Written in faith for the world to see.
Qubool hai spoken, the contract is signed,
Two separate paths are now intertwined.
