At Coffee Stains, we see you in a unique way—in fact we not only see you, we perceive your uniqueness. And like every stain leaves a mark of its having been, a photograph is a fraction of a moment, indelible and deeply important, for it makes us remember. As every coffee stain leaves behind the testimony of a moment of contemplation or perhaps a conversation the sepia of that stain is an unforgettable memoir of that past. We believe that every moment tells a story and a good storyteller is able to capture the essence, the tenderness which otherwise gets lost in the flow of time.

Founded in 2009, Coffee Stains emerged with a fresh perspective on wedding photography — blending documentary storytelling with a strong photojournalistic approach. Over the years, our founder and chief photographer Sneha Kar has continued to pursue photojournalism and commercial photography assignments alongside capturing weddings across India and around the world.

From intimate celebrations in every corner of India to destination weddings at places like Lake Como in Italy, the United Arab Emirates, and across South East Asia, our journey continues to expand with every story we tell. While we are widely recognized for our work in the wedding industry, our creative expertise extends far beyond it. We have worked on corporate campaigns, hotel and hospitality shoots, lifestyle and product photography, as well as documentation projects for schools, social projects and institutions. We also collaborate with several leading advertising agencies on visual storytelling projects.

Today, Coffee Stains is backed by a strong nationwide network of talented photographers and filmmakers, enabling us to consistently deliver high-quality visual narratives across diverse genres and locations. 

We have travelled far and wide chasing stories and documenting them. In fact what moves us is how the fact of a photograph or film almost turns our lived realities into beautiful fictions for future story telling. We already relish the nostalgia on your behalf as we are able to perceive it in your precious moments.

After more than a decade and a half of capturing weddings, at the heart of our visual narrative, the element that enlivens a photograph every time is the mystery of love.
